The museum is small but it is crammed full with things to see and do, and most importantly there are stories waiting to be heard. So we suggest you allow at least an hour for your visit, some people stay a lot longer.
The museum is suitable for everybody from the very young to the old. It has a ramp to the door and no steps in the display areas some of the doorways are a little narrow but we'll do everything we can to make sure you can see everything.
I'm sorry but due to the Grade II listed interior there is no accessible toilet in the building, the nearest one is at the Library and Learning Centre roughly a hundred metres away, and there are public toilets in the main car park about a futher fifty metres away.
A welcome awaits for all our visitors including well-behaved dogs on leads.
