Last month storyteller, Helen East was sorting through some old personal effects when she came across a box. When she opened it up all came flooding back. The box contained her travelling version of a Japanese story scroll which she had made and used in a schools' project many years before.
Knowing our interest in creating new versions of traditional storytelling artefacts she immediately decided to donate it to the Mythstories Collection.
It is now on display atop a bookcase for all to see, it's in a rather delicate condition so I'm afraid it is not available as a handling exhibit, but if any visitor needs to give it a closer inspection we'd be pleased to facilitate the opportunity.
