In March & April we are open free on
Sunday 25th March 2018 1.00pm to 3.00pm
and then storywalking from Wem to Tilley returning by 5.00pm (full details below)

Thursday 12th April 1.30pm to 6.00pm

Please Note: Last Admissions are 30 minutes before closing.

Group Visits

The museum is open for chargeable pre-booked school and group visits.
It's not only a chance to have the museum all to yourselves, but also to participate in workshops and storytellings specially chosen for your group.
Guided by our resident storytellers throughout.
Please contact us to make arrangements at least one week in advance.

Mythstories' Events

Away With Words Storytelling Club
suitable for young people age 8yrs to 15yrs who want to learn to tell traditional tales.
4.00pm to 5.30pm
Meets at Wellington Library TF1 1LX term-time Tuesdays.
FREE - new members welcome to join at any time.

Telling Space Family Storytelling Club
A Chance to Listen - An Opportunity to Tell

Suitable for everyone - children must be accompanied by an adult.
Pops up at different heritage and story sites in Shropshire & the Welsh Borderlands each month for an impromptu story walk and picnic. Where & When? - Watch This Space!

"A Storywalking Countryside Ramble"
Meet at the Museum at 3.00pm for a circular stroll through town and country to The Raven at Tilley returning to Wem by 5.00pm

Llanymynech Limeworks Heritage Area
"Shadows from the Past"
Meet at the Heritage Area Car Park off the A483 in Llanymynech (SY22 6EZ) for a pleasant walk through the woods to discover the remains of a massive Limekiln. Then walk through the meadow and over a stream to return by the canalside. Duration 100 minutes approximately.
Hopefully the weather will allow us to have a picnic together at the picnic site adjacent to the car park and canal.
