Individuals

Volunteer

Since Mythstories began in 1998 hundreds of different people have helped create the Charity: we’d like to thank them all.

Solicitors, accountants and business consultants have shared their skills to set up the systems Mythstories needs to run smoothly. Programmers and even architects have helped develop the website. Storytellers have given expertise and artefacts to enhance the collections. Visitors have added to our store of stories with oral tales.

We’ve all had fun. Volunteers have been stewards on our storywalks, formed ‘get out’ groups to dismantle galleries and ‘get in’groups to re-paint and re-create displays.

Special thanks are due to our Trustees and the Team – find our more about them from the links.

If you have a talent you want to share, or time you can give, please contact us.

And if you are aged between 15 and 19 we can offer Work Experience placements linked to an Arts Award qualification.

Donate

Not just money! Mythstories has a growing library of folk-tales; from ancient myths to local legends. Donations of exhibits or books are very welcome. We always need good quality craft materials and stationery for our workshops and our displays. And much of our office furniture and equipment has been donated by well-wishers: desks, scanners and screens. If you no longer need something you think we can use, please let us know.

Money is always appreciated. Perhaps you enjoyed a visit as a child and would like to offer that chance to someone else. Or maybe you would like to commission an exhibit to mark a special occasion or remember a special person. Click on the Sponsorship Opportunities link to find out what your gift could let us achieve.

Your cheque, make payable to Mythstories, should be sent to: Mythstories, The Morgan Library, Aston Street, Wem, Shropshire, SY4 5AU.

UK tax payers can increase the value of their gift by completing a gift aid form.
